If you have driven past the Magic Valley Mall recently, you may have noticed that there are some bright lights and attractions that are typically not there. That is because the carnival is back this summer and is taking place this weekend. The fair is still months away, and while some might be able to wait for the rides, games, and food, others of us want to enjoy them a little early this year. If you are wanting to go to the carnival but aren't sure when it is open or how much it costs, here is everything you need to know this weekend.

The carnival officially opened on Thursday and will be running through the weekend, with Sunday being the final day. It will be open Friday from 5 PM to 11 PM, Saturday from noon to 11 PM, and Sunday from noon to 8 PM. Wristbands will be sold for $30 per person, or tickets for $1, with most rides costing between 4 to 7 tickets per ride. The wristband is the way to go unless you are looking to let your child ride a couple of rides only.

Gather up the family, head on out to the Magic Valley Mall, and have some fun this Father's Day weekend playing games, riding rides, and stuffing your face with deep fried deliciousness. It won't be here long, so take advantage of the carnival being in town, and hopefully, it'll hold you over until the fair arrives later this year. Have fun, and remember to eat after going on the rides, not before.
