MASS SHOOTING Update: Night Falls On Twin Falls Darkest Day

The city of Twin Falls is recovering from horrific events that unfolded Saturday afternoon as a gunman fired several hundred rounds near the city's visitor center, resulting in the deaths of multiple people and the wounding of several others.

The suspect has been identified as a 24-year-old male named Chad Williams, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to KOB 4.

An In-N-Out Burger employee was one of the victims who died in the August 1 mass shooting. The eatery's owner shared a response online, confirming the terrible news.

Counseling is available today (August 2) at the Rock Creek Elementary School until 8 P.M. at 850 Federation Road in Twin Falls.

Occupants of a Tesla vehicle parked at a nearby charging station were also among those shot, with one receiving fatal injuries, according to information circulating online. According to a local social media thread, the family of those victims has asked that a video circulating on the Internet of the shootings be removed.

Police have still not released the identities of the three deceased individuals. Seven others were injured; two are in critical condition, according to a press conference held Sunday afternoon.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks gave a press conference Saturday confirming the fatalities and injuries. Hicks also asked anyone who might have videos of the attack to contact the department to share the evidence. He also confirmed the gunman was deceased.

A video of a civilian returning fire at the shooter has also been making the rounds online. A GoFundMe has been established for an area taxi driver who was struck by a bullet during the incident that went on for hours along Blue Lakes Boulevard North.
