A section of the busiest road in Twin Falls will be closed for the entire month of May.

The construction work will affect the northbound lane of Blue Lakes Boulevard starting on April 29th and is expected to last through May 31st.

Lane Closures on Blue Lakes to Begin April 29th

The City of Twin Falls has been working on the Hankins Pressure Zone Project for a few weeks. During that time there have been various road closures and there will no doubt be more, but the next one is a big one and will affect a lot of drivers every day.

The city will close the northbound lane of Blue Lakes Boulevard South between Commercial Ave. and Canyon Street. This is the stretch of road just south of the railroad tracks at the Blue Lakes and Kimberly Road intersection. The road will be closed starting April 29th and the work is expected to last until the end of May.

During the construction, there will be a road detour for drivers heading north on Blue Lakes while the southbound lane will remain open.

Additionally, starting on April 29th, Sunrise Boulevard North will be closed between Addison Avenue and Blair Drive until May 10th.

Both road closures are due to the ongoing Hankins Pressure Zone Project. Extreme Excavation Inc. is working on the project and can be contacted with questions related to the project.
