UPDATE 021126: The Idaho State Police have updated their report stating that they believe they driver of the Subaru did stop at the intersection of Wagner Road and Highway 20/26. After stopping, the driver proceeded into the intersection and was struck and killed by the semi-truck.


ORIGINAL STORY 021026: Over the last week, the Idaho State Police have released reports on three accidents, and all of them have been from Canyon County. Two of the accidents were fatal, while the other resulted in serious injuries.

All three accidents also involved semi-trucks, though only one is believed to have been caused by the semi-truck. Both of the people killed in the fatal accidents were under the age of 21.

3 Serious Accidents Reported in Less Than a Week in Canyon County, ID

Details on each of the Canyon County accidents can be found below, but the latest reported by ISP happened on Tuesday, February 10th, a few minutes after 9 AM. The crash involved 2 vehicles and happened on Highway 20/26. The ISP didn’t specify the location on the highway, but the Idaho Transportation Department posted it around mile marker 20 at Wagner Road.

  • A white Subaru Outback driven by a 19-year-old male failed to yield to a blue Peterbilt semi-truck driven by a 50-year-old male.
  • The Subaru Outback proceeded through a stop sign and was struck by the semi-truck.

ISP reported that the driver of the Subaru passed away at the scene of the crash. ITD updated their social media post about five hours later that the road had reopened.
