Another tragic accident Tuesday evening north of Boise, Idaho in Gem County. Three people were killed in the crash and one child was taken to a local hospital.

Idaho State Police reported that the accident happened around 9:45 PM between 2 vehicles on State Highway 52 at milepost 26:

A 22-year-old male and a 20-year-old female passenger, both from Meridian, Idaho, were driving westbound in a 2018 Audi S5. An 18-year-old male from Emmett, Idaho, and a juvenile passenger were eastbound in a 1993 Dodge D-series pickup. The Audi crossed into the eastbound lanes of travel where it collided with the Dodge.

Both occupants of the Audi, as well as the driver of the Dodge, succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The passenger of the Dodge was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital.

Everyone involved in the accident was wearing seatbelts at the time of the wreck. The highway was closed for about 6 hours and the Idaho State Police are investigating the accident.

ISP also responded to an accident involving 3 vehicles on the Long Bridge south of Sandpoint.

A black Ford pickup driven by a 21 year old male was traveling southbound when the driver lost control and hit the jersey barrier. The vehicle then collided with a a northbound white Subaru Forester driven by a 33 year old female. A white GMC Sierra pickup, driven by a 67 year old female, was also involved in the crash. The driver of the Subaru Forester was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
