The United Way of South Central Idaho was handing out money yesterday.  Tuesday was the organization’s annual allocation meeting handing out over $100,000 dollars to local service organizations.  Out of those receiving money this year, the Jerome Senior Center received $2000 and the Silver Sage Girl Scouts received $4100 dollars.  Rising Stars Therapeutic Riding Center, which received $2,400.  The money comes from workers throughout the Magic Valley who have the money deducted automatically from their paychecks.  31 local service organizations received money this year with each one receiving from 8 to 20 percent of their request.
