Prosecutors: Boise Man Stalked Woman Before Shooting
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A $1 million bond has been set for a Boise man in connection with a backyard shooting Saturday that seriously injured a woman. KTVB News reports that 35-year-old Christopher Lynn Wirfs appeared in Ada County court Monday on charges of aggravated battery, use of a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm. Prosecutors say Wirfs had been stalking the woman in the past two weeks by phone and text message and that he threatened to shoot her.
The shooting happened Saturday around 7 p.m. Wirfs reportedly had been a client of the woman's at a hair salon. Prosecutors say Wirfs had been told to leave the business several times in the past few months and again on the day of the shooting.
