Rupert Square Prepares for Christmas
It should resemble the Christmas Markets of Europe. The newly renovated Rupert Square and the Wilson Theater Plaza are going to be decorated for Christmas and visitors will have an opportunity to sample holiday foods and grab a cup of hot chocolate.
There are 4 dates for visitors. The Friday after Thanksgiving, the market opens at 5 p.m. and closes at 9 p.m. It’s open the following day between 12 - 6 p.m.
handmade Christmas cards, nativities, signs and ornaments.
There will be two days in December when it’s open. Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th. Both days in December have hours between 5 - 9 p.m.
As you may recall, Rupert’s already pretty town square received a makeover. The area near the theater got an upgrade, providing theater space. The area is being called “Christmas City” for the holiday debut.
Some of the things available for shoppers will include handmade Christmas cards, nativities, signs and ornaments. From what I’ve read at this link, you may also be able to browse vintage toys.
As an aside, I set out a goal and a plan to feature activities for families within driving distance during the Christmas season. Some locales have been quite cooperative in sharing details and photographs. Others would apparently keep their hometown traditions shielded from the outside world, however.
If you would like us to write about what your hometown is doing, please drop me a line at bill.colley@townsquaremedia. We would be looking at dates and times. Also, please share a couple of photographs, without watermarks and allow us permission to use the pictures.
