Still Time Left to Apply for Controlled Turkey Hunt

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – It’s a little late to submit applications for the controlled spring bear hunt – the deadline was this past Wednesday – but you still have a couple of weeks to get your application in for the turkey hunt.

Deadline to submit applications for this spring’s controlled turkey hunt is Wednesday, March 1.

To apply for a controlled hunt, residents and nonresidents must have a valid Idaho hunting license. Hunters can apply at any license vendor; by calling 800-554-8685; or at this Fish and Game website.

Other Idaho spring dates to remember:

• April 1, any leftover controlled hunt tags for spring turkey and bear controlled hunts go on sale
• April 8, youth turkey hunts open
• April 15, spring turkey and spring black bear general seasons begin in most units.
