Fire Weather Watch

The U.S. National Weather Service in Idaho has issued a Red Flag Warning for the southwestern part of the state, including parts of the Magic Valley, while a Fire Weather Watch has been issued for the eastern part of the state.

Forecasters have issued a Red Flag Warning and Fire Watch for parts of the Magic Valley Friday. The U.S. National Weather Service in Pocatello says a Red Flag Warning will be in effect starting at 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. for anticipated breezy conditions and low humidity along the Snake River plain

A number of areas could be affected by scattered thunderstorms on Thursday, which, according to the National Weather Service, could cause lightning that in turn could start new fires.

The Pocatello office of the National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Saturday afternoon to evening for areas in the Magic and Wood River valleys.

Chances of thunderstorms and isolated showers have increased the possibility of fire danger in much of southern Idaho, northern Nevada and Utah.

The National Weather Service in Boise has upgraded the Fire Weather Watch to a Red Flag Warning for the western parts of Twin Falls County extending into Owyhee County and much of western Idaho
