Tuesday was a good day for school supplemental levies in the Magic Valley.  Hansen School District voters passed a $190,000 levy for one year.  Kimberly voters approved a $300,000 levy with 69% voting in favor.  Murtaugh voters passed a 3-yar $150,000 per year levy by 83%...

Voters in six school districts in the Magic Valley will be going to the polls to decide on supplemental levies.  The Cassia County School District is asking for just over $681,000 per year for two years. The money goes into the school district’s general fund.  Hansen School District is asking for a renewal of its annual $190,000 levy.  Voters in the Jerome School District will vote on the renewal

One man is dead and another is under arrest after a series of incidents that occurred in Twin Falls County Sunday morning. Police were involved in a vehicle pursuit of a brown Ford Taurus which ended near Hansen. Later Sunday morning, that same brown Ford Taurus was reported as being involved in a possible accident on 3500 E in Twin Falls County.

The Snake River Plain Aquifer, which part of the lifeblood of the Magic Valley, has been given a recharge thanks to the Idaho Water Resource Board, irrigation groups, and groundwater users. Last year we pumped a record 156,000 acre feet of water back into the Aquifer.

One person is dead after a car crash south of Hansen. Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Lori Stewart says the accident happened at around 7:30 last night when a car rolled over near Foothills Rd. and Rock Creek Rd.  So far the drivers name has not yet been released...

A traffic accident in Gooding County has claimed the life of a 9-year old boy.  Police say Mitchell Barnes of Jerome was heading east on 3100 South Road and allegedly failed to top at a stop sign where it intersected with 1700 East Road.  Barnes vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Amy Hansen.

Two Magic Valley men are in jail this morning after trying to get away from Twin Falls County sheriff’s deputies.  The deputies were assisting some state probation and parole officers when one of the suspects allegedly drove a vehicle over several yards and through two fences in a subdivision north of Kimberly.
