A brand new mural is now adorning the west side of a long time Hansen landmark.  For years a mural depicting the Hansen and South Hills area has been displayed on the side of the former Daw’s Market in Hansen at the corner of Highway 30 and Rock Creek Road.  It would be better known as the turnoff to the South Hills area.  The mural was painted over a few years ago when new owners were fixing up the building.  Now, the building has new owners and a new name.  The Hansen Quick Stop And Go is now, once again, adorning a mural of the area painted by local artist Gary Stone.

This time the mural has been painted on panels that can be removed to paint the building or repair the mural.  The mural also includes an expanded scene of the area which now includes, besides the South Hills area, the Snake River Canyon and the Sawtooth Mountains.  And for a fee, Stone will include your business in the mural.  Stone says it is also depicts much of the history in the area.  The mural was displayed and dedicated for the first time at a special event Monday.
