A fire gutted a residential home near Gooding Wednesday morning. The Gooding Fire Department's fire chief said fire crews were dispatched at 10:02 a.m. to a structure on fire along Highway 46, just outside of town.
On Wednesday morning, Albion resident, James Burrows changed his election signs in front of his house after campaigning to recall the city's mayor.
"We thought we had 91 votes to get her recalled, but then found out that as longs as we had over 50 percent, then we got it," said Burrows.
Not a lot of people live to be 100, but Harry LeMoyne is defying those odds, when he turns 100 on August 21. LeMoyne was born in Hailey in 1918, and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II flying between England and mainland Europe.
The Twin Falls City Council agenda was focused on voting on the 2019 budget. But during public comment the people had another focus. Last week the Twin Falls City Council voted against a resolution regarding the separation of kids from their families at the Mexico border. Monday citizens spoke at the podium voicing their frustrations.
Fire crews responded to the 2500 block of Carriage Way Sunday afternoon for a house fire.
Battalion Chief Mitchell Brooks said he arrived on scene first and the fire was mostly coming from the east side of the garage.
A Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints meetinghouse in Twin Falls was vandalized Tuesday, tagged with the words "God is dead" in black and red spray paint on the side of the building.
The Twin Falls Police Department is investigating the incident as a hate crime.
On Jan. 3 the Minidoka County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding animal abuse. When a sheriff's deputy arrived at the residence he found a deceased dog lying next to the front fence near Baseline Road.
