Brady Dickinson, who currently works as director of operations, will replace Wiley Dobbs, who will retire on Aug. 31. Dickinson will start work at his new post on July 1.

The district’s Board of Trustees made the announcement Monday morning.

Out of a pool of many, candidates for the position were narrowed to three. The other two were Jim Shank, current superintendent of Coupeville School District in Washington; and Monte Woolstenhulme, superintendent of the Teton School District in Driggs.

Board Trustee Mary Barron said while there will be shuffling at the superintendent’s office, the district’s focus will remain on its students.

News Radio 1310 will have a more in-depth story on the new super in an article later this week.
