Twin Falls To Join Boundary Challenge
The Twin Falls City Council voted yesterday to join the challenge against the latest redistricting plan. The vote at yesterday’s meeting was 5 to 0 to join Twin Falls County in the challenge. The latest plan would split Twin Falls County into different districts where the population centers are far removed.
It also cuts down on the number of legislators that would represent Twin Falls city and the surrounding county. Meanwhile, Twin Falls County Prosecutor Grant Loebs says he plans to file that challenge on behalf of the county on Wednesday. New legislative boundary lines are required every ten years to balance out of the districts with the population changes.
