Two Magic Valley Men Facing Child Sex Charges
Two Magic Valley men face a possible life prison term in two unrelated incidents of sex with a minor. 28 year old Kyle Day of Burley is facing a charge of felony sexual battery of a minor and rape. Police claim Day had sexual contact with a 16 year old female in a Burley motel in December. Day also has a past conviction of felony lewd conduct with a child from 2006. He was also convicted for not registering as a sex offender in 2008. 35 year old Cory Wickel of Albion faces a charge of lewd conduct with a child under 16. He’s accused of sexual conduct with a female relative between 6 and 12 years of age on several occasions. Wickel will be in court Friday in Cassia County for a preliminary hearing. Both men face a $50,000 fine and life in prison if convicted.
