Van Runs Stop Sign, Hits Pocatello Police Vehicle

POCATELLO, Idaho (KLIX)-An on-duty police officer with the city of Pocatello was hit by a van at an intersection Wednesday morning. The crash happened at around 8 a.m. at the intersection of W. Quinn Road and Henderson Lane when a 40-year-old female driver of a Toyota van failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the Jeep SUV the officer was driving. The woman was treated by emergency staff on scene, the officer was not hurt. The woman was given a citation for not stopping at the stop sign. The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
