A Lucky Day at Lucky Peak

I’ve been past Lucky Peak State Park many times, but never have seen the “rooster tail”.

I'm usually driving by in summer when things are considerably drier than our current wet spring.  Saturday morning, I was up long before sunrise and drove to Boise to be among the first to see the gates opened at the dam.  I’m sharing some pictures.  After driving round to the other side of the river, I then took off for a bite to eat in downtown Boise.  The traffic coming out to the park from the city was by then backed up several hundred feet.  I even met some foreign tourists taking in the beauty of the place.
