BUHL, Idaho (KLIX) – A number of service providers, medical and otherwise, will visit the Buhl Community Health and Information Fair this evening at Popplewell Elementary School.

The annual event, which goes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., will include some 40 booths. It’s a chance for people to learn about health care and other area services, said Michelle Olsen of the Buhl Chamber of Commerce.

Beside medical services, there’ll be hospice, insurance and banking, and nutritional providers, among others. The one thing lacking at this year’s event, however, is a blood pressure booth.

In the past around 300 people have visited the fair, she said, and she expects at least that many this evening. The event is free to community members, thanks to generous donations from several community partners.

A free potato bar and chili dinner also will be available at the school.

“It’s just a fun community event,” Olsen said. “It gives people an opportunity to find out what we have in our area as far as services go. There are quite a few.”
