A Burley man charged with involuntary manslaughter will go before a jury trial on June 27th.  24 year old Michael Thompson is charged with shooting Michael Blair with a handgun after the two men and two female companions spent the night drinking at a bar in Paul.  Police say while Thompson was driving the group home, Blair and one of the females in the vehicle were arguing.  Thompson says he pointed a handgun at Blair and told him to stop bickering.  Blair then allegedly grabbed Thompson’s hand holding the gun and stuck the barrel in his mouth and the gun discharged, killing him instantly.  An investigator says he does not believe Thompson meant to shoot Blair.  A pretrial conference is set for June 4th.
