TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Emergency crews responded to a Twin Falls restaurant after a car hit the side of the building Wednesday morning. Damage could be seen on the Perkins Restaurant on Blue Lakes Boulevard just before 9 a.m. with a car nearby with apparent front end damage. According to Twin Falls Police, an elderly woman had been leaving the parking lot when she mistakenly placed the car in drive, not reverse, launched forward, jumped the curb, which scared her, and then she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake hitting the side of the building. Another woman inside the restaurant was hit by debris and had to taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, according to TFPD. The incident is under investigation.
