Dorothy Custer Turns 101 and Zip Lines Through The Canyon
Dorothy Custer turned 101 today. Her method of celebration: becoming the inaugural rider on the Zip the Snake zip line in the Snake River Canyon. True to form, the sassy harmonica playing grandmother made it safely across and remarked "I thought it would be longer."
The Twin Falls native has been interviewed by Jay Leno twice, and named Twin Falls "Pioneer of the Year" but she called the zip line ride one of her best presents. Surrounded by friends and family she cheerfully tested her equipment and was loaded onto the zip line all the while playing her harmonica.
It was a great moment from one of our favorite people. Happy Birthday Dorothy!
