HAILEY, Idaho (KLIX) – A 31-year-old man is facing time behind bars for a string of burglaries that happened in Blaine County.

An investigation of the crimes led county detectives to arrest Fairfield resident Zackariah Levi Kandler, Blaine County Sheriff Steve Harkins said in a statement on Monday.

Kandler, who was charged with two felony counts of burglary, reportedly entered or attempted to enter at least five homes using unlocked back doors, Harkins said.

Kandler was arraigned on Friday and remains in custody at the Blaine County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500,000.

Harkins reminds residents to lock their homes and vehicles.
