(AP) — A U.S. Coast Guard officer who suffered fatal injuries while helping a disabled fishing vessel off the coast of Alaska is now back in his native state of Idaho.  Petty Officer 3rd Class Travis R. Obendorf's cremated remains were given to his mother on Monday during a ceremony at the local airport.  Obendorf, an Idaho Falls High School graduate, was aboard the Cutter Waesche on Nov. 11 in the Bering Sea rescuing a disabled fishing vessel when he was severely injured while assisting the fishing boat's crew.  Just 28, Obendorff served nine years in the Coast Guard when he was injured.  Following the accident, he was transported to Swedish Medical Center in Seattle where he died last week with family members at his side.
