OAKLEY, Idaho (KLIX) Idaho wildlife managers say they killed a young mountain lion near the town of Oakley Saturday evening. According to Idaho Department of Fish and Game announcement, the female cat may have been one of two that had been spotted in peoples yards in the past several weeks in the town. The two lions had killed several cats and a dog. Managers have set up a live trap in an attempt to catch the other young lion. People are being asked to stay away from the trap and let Idaho Fish and Game know if they spot a mountain lion by calling 208-324-4359. Idaho Fish and Game also noted that people can shoot a mountain lion in self-defense without a license or tag if there is an immediate threat to person or property.
