Could Being in Idaho Get You Better Halloween Candy This Year?
It is finally Halloween, and odds are, your kids and you have been planning out where to go to get the most candy possible. If your kids are a little older, they have Halloween figured out and know how to do it to ensure they get the big candy bars and as much as possible, because kids talk and plan these things. Adults also want their kids to succeed, and everyone knows certain houses to hit, certain neighborhoods, and sometimes living in a certain state can play a factor. When it comes to Idaho, does the Gem State give out bigger candy bars, do they give out enough candy, and how festive is the state compared to others?
Halloween Spirit in Idaho
Some states are better known for celebrating Halloween and going all out, but how does Idaho compare? A recent study by renuityhome.com broke down how many Americans celebrate the holiday, how much candy is given out, and which states give the best candy. According to the study, 66 percent of Americans begin decorating three weeks out, with 30 percent decorating over a month before the holiday. Over a third of Americans admit to dressing up when handing out candy, with 35 percent doing so. When it comes to candy, how many households give out candy, who gives out full-sized candy bars, and which states give out the most?
Giving Out Halloween Candy in Idaho
According to the study, 68 percent of Americans say that they will be handing out candy this Halloween. When it comes to states that hand out the most, Idaho has 61.4 percent of houses participating in Halloween, whereas Louisiana, with 79.8 percent of households participating, ranks the highest in Halloween spirit. Only 5 percent of people nationwide give out full-sized candy bars. Still, the good news is that Idaho ranks second nationally in this category, with 12.5 percent of households admitting to doing so. The only state that ranks better is Indiana, where 14 percent of houses give out full-sized candy bars, and for those curious, Oregon is third with 10.2 percent of households doing so. These are the only three states that have double-digit percentages of households handing out full-sized candy bars.

Not everyone celebrates Halloween, and not everyone is generous in giving out candy, but according to this study, Idaho gets into the spirit of the holiday, and those handing out candy are generous and give out a good amount of candy, and bigger candy.
