Local Businesses Warming Up for Giving This Season in the Magic Valley
There are many ways people can help others in the Magic Valley. Local businesses love to be a part of helping out organizations that support our citizens, you can help too.
When winter sets in, many people living in the Magic Valley struggle to make ends meet. There are times when the thermostat gets turned down to a minimum to help save on heating costs. Sometimes, the heat isn’t even turned on. OrthoPro has a yearly blanket drive to help combat the issue in the Magic Valley.
This is the 3rd year OrthoPro has held the drive. They have had increasing success each year and hope to continue the awesome upward trend of donations. Blankets can be dropped off at the Twin Falls OrthoPro office at 1437 Parkview Dr. through the 15th of December.
Win an Auction for a Decorated Tree and Help Build Homes for Magic Valley Families
The Magic Valley’s Habitat for Humanity has launched their ‘Christmas Magic at the ReStore’. This is the 2nd year for this special silent auction of 20 different decorated Christmas trees. The auction runs through November 21st. If a donor truly loves a particular tree, there IS a buyout price that includes delivery. There’s also an option to outbid an opponent for an extra $25. All funds raised help to build affordable housing for 5 families.
Don’t forget the 32nd annual Christmas in the Nighttime Sky toy drive that comes with a fireworks show. It happens on the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 24th) at Kimberly Nurseries. A new toy is all it takes for entry to enjoy a chili potato dinner, drinks, and fireworks.
