The city of Twin Falls is now accepting applications to determine allocations for a federal funding program that came from the response to the COVID-19 public health emergency. The city has created a committee to help determine the projects the money will go towards.

The City of Twin Falls and the local Fiscal Recovery Fund Committee have come together to accept these applications. Twin Falls receive $8.46 million dollars in federal funding to help the residents of Twin Falls. Some examples of those projects would be to help the elderly through improvements to the senior center or to the schools for playground equipment.

The city needs to have the money committed by December 2024 and the finances spent by December 2026. The committee is nine people chosen by the City Council and includes three citizens who reside in Twin Falls City limits, three members from city committees and three members from Twin Falls City Council.

If you have a project you would like to submit for funding, you must do so by November 11th at 5 pm. For more information on how to apply and what the application entails, you can go to the City of Twin Falls website.
