Get Out to These 7 Events the Final Weekend Before Christmas in the Magic Valley

Christmas is fast approaching, and time is running out to complete everything. For men, this means starting to shop, and for women, it means watching Christmas movies, relaxing, and resting, as everything is done. Or it might mean wrapping gifts, baking Christmas cookies, and finishing shopping, while the men start. Despite all the holiday chores that need to get done before Christmas, get out and have some fun at one of the events this weekend in the Magic Valley.

Thursday, December 18 - Mom's Night Nutcrackers and Stocking Exchange

The holidays can be a stressful time for moms, which is why they need a night to get out and be around other moms to vent and get some time away from the kids. This Thursday, you can do so at Mom's Night Nutcrackers and Stocking Exchange. The event will begin at 5:30 PM and will be at 677 Filer Ave N in Twin Falls. The cost is $13.50 and will include painting and creating your own nutcracker to take home, and a stocking exchange that consists of 10 of the same items. Thursday, December 18 - Ellie Mae at Redhawk

Everyone enjoys live music, and the Magic Valley is full of some amazing local artists who are worth checking out when they perform. One of the local favorites that many enjoy is Ellie Mae, who will be performing at Redhawk this Thursday from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Thursday, December 18 - Sunday, December 21 - 'White Christmas: The Musical'

With the weather not looking ideal this weekend, indoor activities are a good choice. If you want to be entertained indoors, head to the Orpheum Theatre and enjoy 'White Christmas: The Musical' this weekend. There will be shows on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday, December 19 and Saturday, December 20 -  Lost in Christmas

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Depending on the weather, you may want to head east and check out the Burley Straw Maze for Lost in Christmas this Friday and Saturday. Have fun going down their giant slides, swinging on the swings, going on the zipline, and of course getting lost in the hay maze lit up by Christmas lights. Saturday, December 20 - Santa Storytime

Entertaining little ones during the holidays can be tough. They are stuck inside as the weather gets colder, wetter, and windier. Get them out of the house this Saturday and take them to the Magic Valley Mall for Santa Storytime. It begins at 10 AM, and your children will enjoy a magical experience with Santa. Saturday, December 20 - Santa Coming to 2nd South Market

Santa is coming to town, and while everyone knows he will be in the area on December 25, he will be making a special appearance at 2nd South Market as well. Stop by 2nd South Market on Saturday between 1 PM and 2:30 PM and get a picture with Santa, as well as get some lunch or snacks for the kiddos and family. Saturday, December 20 - Movie Matinee

Everyone likes going to the movies during the holidays, but the cost is outrageous these days. Don't go broke trying to see a flick, and instead go to Movie Matinee at the Twin Falls Public Library. This is a chance to see a movie for free every Saturday at 3 PM, and this week they will be showing 'Holes'. It doesn't matter if you've seen it once, many times, or not at all.
