Is it Worth Buying the Most Expensive Christmas Tree in the Magic Valley?
Christmas is fast approaching and by now most people have their trees up, and decorated, and may even have a few presents under already. There are different routes to go to get a Christmas tree, especially in the Magic Valley. You can go out and buy one from a store or tree farm, you can go to the South Hills and cut one down, or perhaps you don't like dealing with the mess and decide to put up a fake one each year. Owning and using a fake tree is the cheapest route to go, as you buy it one year and then don't have to spend money every year, whereas others have to fork up the money every single year. Christmas trees can be expensive, and according to one sign in the Magic Valley, some can be a little pricier than others.
How Much is too Much for a Christmas Tree?
When it comes to buying a new tree every year, they can be a tad pricey, depending on what type of tree you get, what size, and where you get it from. While Christmas trees won't typically break the bank, they do seem to go up in price every year. This year the price of trees reached an outrageous amount at one particular store in the Magic Valley. As you can see in the picture above, at Ridley's in Buhl, Christmas trees are going for $5999. Almost six thousand dollars seems a little expensive for a Christmas tree. Having a tree is a must to get into the holiday spirit and to bring the Christmas season into the home, but that seems to be a little too much for most.
Signs in Twin Falls
The Christmas trees at Ridley's are not meant to be almost six thousand dollars, and the sign is missing a decimal, as it should read $59.99. Finding typos on signs is a joy, and can often lead to a good chuckle. There have been a few incidents with signs this year in Twin and the Magic Valley, and each time they cause a reaction. Some places do it on purpose, while other times, somebody doesn't properly spell check the sign, or in the case of Burger King earlier this year, somebody rearranges the letters. Mistakes happen, but when they do in a public manner like these signs, we all get to notice the mistakes.
If you are looking for an affordable Christmas tree still, there are plenty of options around the Magic Valley and Twin Falls. If you are looking for some good signs to laugh and make you smile, you can click on the link in the paragraph above and see some from this past year, as well as where to drive by and see some more. If you do come across a tree that is $5999, make sure to take a picture, because that better be one fancy, amazing tree. Enjoy the holiday season and the laughs and decorations that come along with it.
