WATCH: New Video Shows Santa BASE Jumping in Southern Idaho on Christmas Day
We know that people come from all over the world to visit Southern Idaho, specifically Twin Falls, for two reasons. They come to see the Shoshone Falls, the Niagara of the West, and they come to BASE jump from the Perrine Bridge.
When we say they come from all over the world, we mean it. A new video shows Santa BASE jumping at the Perrine Bridge over Christmas. Don’t be fooled by the lack of snow in the video; Twin Falls has no snow and is breaking high temperature records daily for this time of year. We wouldn’t have been surprised to see Santa out there in shorts and flip-flops.
If Santa Was Late or Missed Your House This Year, This Is Probably Why
The video was posted to social media on Christmas Day, a few minutes after 11 AM, so it’s safe to say he didn’t skip your house to BASE jump since he should have been done by then. If he did miss your house, you could write a stern letter to the North Pole to ask why, or you could reflect on your life choices in 2025 to see if you may have been the problem.
Santa must be a real thrill-seeker to BASE jump, and even worse is that for the first few seconds of the video, his chute doesn’t fully open, making it look like he’s going to land harder than one should when BASE jumping. But it’s Santa, and he figured it out. He even added a cool skim across the water to finish his flight.
The video was posted by Jonathan Cox, who posts A LOT of BASE jump videos. The comment section claims the chute issue happens often - but it still had us worried.

Santa isn’t the only celebrity to come BASE jump at the Perrine Bridge. Earlier this year, a Brazilian supermodel did her jump in a very bright pink onesie. I’d like to see her do a jump with Santa. That would be cool.
