JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) The City of Jerome has shut down several of it's streets as road conditions worsen due to a winter storm blowing across southern Idaho.

The City Administrator Mike Williams in a release says South Tiger Drive and the mile roads will be closed until visibility improves so snow plows can work on them. The city government and area businesses have also closed down at 3:30 p.m. Williams says snow plows will work on primary streets that serve several areas first. When they can crews will begin working on neighborhood streets and secondary routes.

Those living on residential streets may not see a snow plow for some time. All personnel with the Water and Street departments have been and will continue to work through the night and into tomorrow as conditions allow.
