TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - The rape charge against KMVT Meteorologist Jack Holland was dropped Tuesday.

Fifth District Judge Randy Stoker signed the motion to dismiss charges Tuesday morning.

“Based upon the State’s Motion to Dismiss: It’s hereby ordered that the charge in the above-entitled case be dismissed,” the court document said.

A motion to dismiss the rape charges were filed Friday by the Twin Falls Prosecutor’s office.

In the court document filed Friday morning, Prosecuting Attorney Grant Loebs said after consultation with the alleged victim in this matter, his office moves the Court for an order of dismissal.

The motion to dismiss continued, “As part of its continuing duty to investigate this case, the State has interviewed additional witnesses who have come forward since the preliminary hearing, and thoroughly reviewed their statements and other evidence as it relates to the testimony presented. It is the State’s conclusion based upon close analysis of all the facts now available about this incident that Mr. Holland did not commit the crime of Rape. Accordingly, the State moves to dismiss the charge against the defendant.”
