Penne Main: Bigfoot Hunter
O.K., so maybe it’s not her prime reason for mountain climbing, although. Not a day goes by without someone asking me if I’ve heard from Penne Main. After all, she only knows 20-thousand people on a first name basis and that’s a conservative estimate.
Penne was a well-known radio and TV broadcaster in the Magic Valley for a number of years. Then she moved into broadcast sales and was highly successful. Trust me, she’s a Type A personality. As I understand, it was a family trait. Several months ago, Penne received an offer she couldn’t refuse. She’s now with the Chamber of Commerce in the Mini-Cassia area.

It takes some special skills to sell broadcast advertising. Those play well in any business setting. Being able to talk into a microphone in a small room with sound proofing on the walls is easy. You aren’t coming face-to-face with the people you’re trying to convince to listen every day.
The real challenge is to walk up to someone and sell air-time or a membership in a Chamber of Commerce. Some of us can do one of these things. Penne can do both. It’s an ability to convey I’ve got a product and it can benefit you. You have to be confidant in yourself and especially in what you’re selling.
