Rock Creek Canyon Closed Through Weekend

(KLIX)- Campers headed up to the South Hills will have to wait for a little while longer. Sawtooth National Forest officials have closed off access at the forest boundaries. The Cave Canyon Fire continues to be active. Crews are holding the fire at its current position. Its burning in pockets of vegetation within the perimeter. As of Thursday afternoon the fire was 100% contained as of 4pm Thursday, and has burned 88,909 acres. Several other fires burning as part of the Minidoka Complex are 100% contained. The Eightmile and Hot Well have completely been contained.
