I came across a 10 Commandments Monument on a visit to Idaho Falls.

Did the locals tar and feather the staff at the local ACLU (and why didn’t I get a party invitation?)

My first thought was it’s a beautiful location.  The second thought was it’s in a park.  Since then I’ve been asking people if it’s a public park or property of a church.  No one has given me a definitive answer.

Seriously, if this is a public location I’m proud of the people of Idaho Falls.  A friend I had lunch with while visiting there explained it was truly God’s country and in many ways but, still.  Why no loud objections from the handful of liberals in the city?  Did the locals tar and feather the staff at the local ACLU (and why didn’t I get a party invitation?)

The monument is an outstanding statement about the character of the people of Eastern Idaho.
