The Execution of LaVoy Finicum?
Was “LaVoy” Finicum murdered? This isn’t a question being raised only by the far right. The FBI has released video of Tuesday’s shooting where the rancher was killed. On this morning’s show we examined 3 potential explanations. Later I received a message from a friend I wouldn’t describe as a right-wing extremist. Steve Forbes is her variety of Republican. She sent a photograph of Finicum wearing his sidearm on his right hip. I’m right-handed too and don’t know if I would be reaching for a pistol with my left hand in self-defense. As you listen to my show you’ll also hear a caller claiming to be a retired FBI agent and he isn’t buying the government’s story. Was there a drop weapon? Was Finicum targeted because he was articulate and seemed friendly and needed to be portrayed as a nut? Or, as in my argument, was this a tragedy fueled by poor communication and adrenaline.
