The man accused of causing a hostage situation in Twin Falls earlier this month now faces a  first degree murder charge as well. The Times-News reports that Clark Cleveland was charged with murder and 11 other felony charges following a grand jury indictment.  Cleveland is accused, among other things, of fatally shooting a Utah man and wounding a Idaho State Police trooper on July 15. He appeared in Twin Falls County 5th District Court for the hearing in front of Judge Richard Bevan to hear the charges. He now faces first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery on an officer with a deadly weapon, six counts of aggravated assault on an officer with a deadly weapon, and eluding an officer. Clark entered a plea of not guilty. His trial is set to begin in January of 2012.
