UPDATE: The Shoshone Police Department has shared a sketch of a suspect that attempted to abduct a young girl last weekend. Police ask if you have any information on this crime to call them, Shoshone Police Department at (208) 886-2030 or SIRCOMM at (208) 324-1911. 

SHOSHONE, Idaho (KLIX) A 9-year-old girl was nearly abducted Saturday afternoon near gravel pits in Shoshone on Saturday.
According to information released by the Shoshone Police Chief Cliff Katona, the girl was with other juveniles at the end of 6th Street at around noon. The children were able to scare off the suspect who tried to grab the victim by the arm. The girl got free and ran away from the suspected abductor which ran away on foot.

Police have identified the person as a Hispanic male, in his 20's, dark tanned skin, short black hair with side burns,with white sleeveless shirt with blue lettering on the front. He was also wearing dark blue jeans with tears and sandals. Police also provided the description of a blue Honda Civic, 1996-1999, with 4L plates. Police ask if you have any information to call dispatch.
