Twin Falls ID Residents Don't Fall Victim To Texas Roadhouse Scam

A nationwide scam involving the Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain is currently causing people's Facebook accounts to be hacked and personal information to be compromised. These scammers are posting content that claims people can earn free food through vouchers when in actuality personal information is being exposed.

Texas Roadhouse corporate staffers have taken to social media to warn Americans about fraudulent offers that are compromising various consumer personal accounts. Warnings began surfacing in September that warned of bogus voucher and meal offers that consumers could take advantage of by sharing content on their own Facebook pages.

Messages coming from the Texas Roadhouse corporate team are reminding the public to look for the "blue verified checkmark" next to the chain's name to verify that the communication is legit. Any messages that don't include this symbol could have originated from a scammer. Do not share these types of updates to your personal Facebook account. Doing so could result in your account being hacked.

Twin Falls has a Texas Roadhouse location at 1469 Pole Line Road East near the Magic Valley Mall. The chain is known for its hand-cut steaks, ribs, and homemade side dishes. The Twin Falls location is currently promoting personalized gift cards, but is not offering free food through vouchers.

Hackers can obtain a great deal of information through these criminal actions, including home addresses, phone numbers, family photos, business and personal contacts, and other information that can be used for identity theft.
