Brothers Bill and Mike Edson were in Boise Tuesday to claim a $1 million prize from the Idaho Lottery. Bill is from Twin Falls, and his brother Mike is from Salt Lake City. Their ticket matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball number itself for Saturday night’s draw.

Their winning ticket is the first $1 million winner in Idaho since the “match 5” prize level was changed on Jan. 15, 2012.  Previously the prize for matching the first five numbers was $200,000. The brothers plan to split their winnings.

The winning ticket was sold at the Stinker Store on  W. Shoshone in Twin Falls. For their part in selling the winning ticket, Stinker Stores will receive a bonus of $20,000 from the Idaho Lottery.
