Idaho State Police say it is not known if the weather played a factor in a deadly car accident that happened in Jerome County yesterday but they did say it was snowing at the time.

Police say just after 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon 56-year-old Toni Martinez of Twin Falls was going eastbound in a 1990 Ford van on Golf Course Road in Jerome County. She lost control of the van and swerved into oncoming traffic colliding with a 2002 Ford truck. ISP says Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene and that she was not wearing her seat-belt. The driver and passenger of the Ford truck  were taken to St. Luke's in Jerome with unknown injuries.
