The Sun Valley City Council has voted to ban ATVs from the central Idaho resort town's upscale streets. The Idaho Mountain Express reports that the council on Tuesday unanimously passed an ordinance that prohibits most restricted-plate vehicles, including ATVs.  Other vehicles included in the ban are utility-type vehicles, off-highway vehicles and certain motorbikes. Lawbreakers face a fine of $85. Sun Valley Mayor Wayne Willich says safety concerns are the main reason for the ban. Idaho law does not allow ATV's or other restricted license plate vehicles on state highways. But they are permissible on county roads, city streets with a speed limit of 35 mph and roads managed by the U.S. Forest Service.
