(KLIX)- Fire crews are working to dampen a fire that broke out near Elba Wednesday. Bureau of Land management officials say the Connor Creek fire is burning just two miles from the small Idaho town south east of Burley. Investigators are trying to determine what may have caused the fire. Right now its being treated as a possible human caused fire.Additional hand crews will arrive today to continue securing a fire line around the perimeter. Resources currently on the fire include 8 engines, 1 water tender, 2 dozers, and 2 helicopters. The fire has burned onto BLM, Forest Service, Idaho Department of Lands and some private ground. The fireline to protect the residences in the area has been secured. Containment is now estimated for September 1 at 4:00pm, control estimated for Sunday, September 2. . Its burning through mainly grass, brush, and juniper trees. As of yesterday the fire had burned roughly 1,994 acres. There are several homes within a mile of the blaze.
