BOISE, Idaho (KTVB) -- Complaints about Chobani yogurt are causing the company to voluntarily remove some of its products from store shelves. Late Tuesday, the company issued a statement saying that mold commonly found in dairy products is to blame.

KTVB received a statement from Chobani confirming that there have been quality concerns surrounding certain cups that were swollen or bloated. There has been no official recall with the government agency Food Safety, and Chobani does not mention any illness because of the issue.

The statement goes on to say that Chobani is working with retailers to voluntarily remove and replace affected products with the code 16-012, expiration dates from Sept. 11 through Oct. 7, 2013. The product in question is less than 5 percent of Chobani's production and is limited to cups produced at their Idaho facility.
