Every year there are two groups of people in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving: those who allow Christmas into their lives and those who don't have room for two holidays and say everything Christmas has to wait until after Thanksgiving. I'm in the first group. I listen to Christmas music and decorate as soon as I can. It doesn't interfere with Thanksgiving. We still get together as family and eat food and express gratitude for all that we have. And we do it surrounded by Christmas decor and sounds. There are a lot of ways you can get into the Christmas spirit before December even gets here and it doesn't have to interfere or overtake your Thanksgiving celebrations.

    Christmas In The Nighttime Sky

The annual Christmas In The Nighttime Sky is easily the biggest Christmas kick-off event in the Magic Valley. It is even the day after Thanksgiving so it shouldn't be an issue to celebrate for anyone. This event has it all with food, Santa, music, fireworks, and an amazing charity aspect. Make sure you join us for this event at Kimberly Nurseries on November 29, 2019.

    Decorate and Enjoy the Decorations

I personally think that everyone should put up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving. Why would you wait until the coldest days of the year to do this task? You don't even have to turn them on but you'll be happy they are already up when the first snow falls. You could even drive around and check out the the great decorations around the Magic Valley.

    Watch Christmas Movies

You can gather the family together (or just your significant other) to watch Christmas movies. There are so many types of holiday movies, you could even watch a few of them over the next few weeks to help bring the spirit into your home. Plus if you win this contest you could get paid to watch the movies.

    Help With Letters To Santa

A really cool thing that almost anyone can do is to help Santa by responding to some of the letters from kids around the world. Yes, he needs help and you could fill that need. The US Postal Service has a link you can click to volunteer your time, and handwriting, to respond to children.
