WENDELL, Idaho (KLIX)-The community of Wendell is under a boil advisory as a precaution after a recent power outage.

According to Public Works Supervisor Cindy Woodward, the order was issued Saturday afternoon after power to one of the wells was cut and the system lost pressure. The community was asked to continue to boil any water for consumption until further notice; in most cases the water must be tested several times before the advisory is lifted.

Saturday the Magic Valley and much of southern Idaho experienced high winds that knocked out power to numerous communities.
