Why the Solar System May Cause Volcanic Activity in Idaho and Washington
Does the alignment of the planets cause greater volcanic activity? I read last week that this is a growing theory, and at the same time I saw a series of stories on volcanoes becoming more active in Italy, the South Pacific, Alaska and Washington State.
While we don’t see gravity, most people agree it’s a force. Could it be the alignment of the planets impacts the pull, and that causes the magma in the earth to stir?
This link may explain more.
Sorry I'm Not Writing About Pizza Parlors
I decided to write this as a follow-up to a pair of stories I wrote about volcanoes in Late March. Two people who’ve never worked in media took issue and wrote nasty reviews. I should note that what we write about doesn’t require a degree in rocket science to understand.
It's About the Bottom Line and Survival
Page views impress advertisers. Advertisers pay the bills at the radio station. The web increasingly bankrolls what we put on-air. For search engine optimization we need at least 250 words, a catchy title and links to other stories.
.
Oh, and people who work here are required to write two pieces a day and are required to reach a quarterly goal on page views. It can bring a bonus. It’s also a condition of employment.
History in the Making
So, for the critics who’ve never had to work under those parameters, there you go!
Meanwhile, if we see the solar system impacting geological activity on our planet, then we could perhaps surmise that a variety of celestial occurrences have in the past played a role in outbursts of volcanic eruptions, many of which changed the course of history. I find it far more interesting than a story about a new pizza parlor opening in Burley. Do you know what the sad thing is about modern history? Many of you think a new taco stand constitutes news.
