Your Power Rates Could Be Going Up Again
With prices going up for gas and food, you might have to add your power bill to that list. Idaho Power Company has filed a request with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission asking for a 9.9 percent increase in the base rate. That will mean about $83-million dollars for Idaho Power. Idaho Power residents recently noticed a decrease on the power bill thanks to the annual Power Cost Adjustment. The most recent request for a rate increase may result in the average residential bill going up just under 9 percent. The increase is subject to the approval of the IPUC.
