This is a mixed bag for Idahoans.

There are twenty states still ahead of Idaho (Ohio is ranked best)

Red hot economy, cheap groceries and utilities, but in some areas we lag.  The Tax Foundation places Idaho 21st in the nation when it comes to how far $100 will go.  It’s not to say Idaho is a bad bargain.  The Foundation maintains that 100 bucks gets you over $107 in goods and services.

There are twenty states still ahead of Idaho (Ohio is ranked best).  Over the last few days, I’ve been scouting gasoline prices for a post-hurricane bump.  What becomes obvious is we’ve been well above the national average at the pumps for quite some time.  When the latest fuel crisis concludes in a few weeks, if we could level off nearer some neighbors, perhaps our ranking would climb higher.
